Glad Tidings Therapy

Trauma Therapy & EMDR for Adults Seeking Lasting Change

Compassionate, evidence-based counseling for trauma, anxiety, grief, and life transitions—with optional faith integration.

Online therapy (telehealth) is available for clients throughout Georgia and Idaho.

Healing requires both compassion and courage. Therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely understood—not judged—and encouraged to grow. Whether you're healing from trauma, navigating anxiety, facing life's challenges, or seeking to integrate your faith into the therapeutic process, our work together is about more than feeling better in the moment. It's about building lasting healing and creating meaningful change.

If you've been carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, or painful patterns for years, you may already understand why you struggle. Insight is important—but insight alone doesn't create change. Therapy is about helping you move forward.

I offer a compassionate, honest approach that balances acceptance with accountability. Together, we'll identify what's keeping you stuck, process the experiences that continue to affect your life, and build practical skills to help you live with greater freedom and confidence.

Areas of Focus

  • Trauma (PTSD, complex trauma, or early developmental trauma)

  • Veterans/Military

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Depression

  • ADHD

  • Grief and loss

  • Life transitions

  • Faith and spirituality concerns

  • Attachment wounds and relational patterns

  • Identity, purpose, and meaning

Many of the challenges we face are connected to deeper patterns shaped by our experiences, relationships, and the ways we have learned to navigate the world. In therapy, we will work to understand those patterns—not only to ease symptoms, but to heal what has shaped you and move toward greater clarity, connection, purpose, and a deeper sense of self: who you are and who you want to become.

About Glad Tidings

Glad Tidings is an older English translation of the Greek word euangelion, a term for news that changed the conditions of life. It is a declaration of hope: that change is possible.

Glad Tidings Therapy was born from my own struggle to find a therapist who was both clinically trained and comfortable integrating faith into the counseling process. I know the vital role faith plays in how people make meaning, endure hardship, and pursue change. I am trained in faith integration and am happy to incorporate faith into therapy when it is wanted, while ultimately respecting each client's preferences and goals. I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Megan Hinman LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor in Idaho & Georgia

I believe every person has a unique story worth understanding. The experiences we have, the relationships we build, and the ways we learn to navigate the world shape how we see ourselves and others. While those experiences influence us, they do not have to define us.

Living in different parts of the country has given me a deep appreciation for the diverse communities and experiences that shape people's lives. It has also reminded me how much we share. Beneath different backgrounds, many of the struggles we face—grief, trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, questions of identity, and the search for purpose—are part of the human experience.

What draws me to this work is a genuine curiosity about people and a deep respect for their capacity to grow. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship that is compassionate, thoughtful, and honest, where clients feel supported, challenged, and empowered to move toward meaningful, lasting change.
